Rug up this winter in Private White V.C’s Merino wool collection

As the last remaining clothing factory from the world’s first industrial city, Private White V.C. has a remarkable story to tell. The brand pays homage to its namesake WWI hero; Private Jack White. On returning from war, Private Jack White began working as a pattern cutter at the factory in Manchester which houses the brand today, working his way up through the ranks to become its owner.

Now owned and driven by Jack’s great-grandson James Eden the brand has partnered with The Woolmark Company to unveil a classic, elegant and casual Australian Merino wool collection, available now exclusively on Mr Porter.

This exclusive collection consists of 5 pieces which have been designed to celebrate Australian Merino wool, one of the most natural, eco-friendly and luxurious fibres in the world. 100% natural, renewable and biodegradable, Merino wool is the responsible choice for the conscious consumer.

“Beautifully soft, versatile and resilient, Australian Merino wool naturally breathes providing year-round comfort anywhere, any time,” explains Private White V.C. CEO/Founder James Eden. “Natural, renewable and biodegradable, Merino wool is the responsible choice for today’s conscious consumer.”

The Merino wool garments - made in a selection of mills a couple of miles away from the Private White V.C. factory in Manchester are:
