KOCHÉ’s partnership with The Woolmark Company continues with the label’s first Cruise collection

On board the ferry Danielle Casanova, Paris-based label KOCHÉ presented a wool-rich Cruise collection in Marseille as part of the OpenMyMed festival. The collection expands on the label’s partnership with The Woolmark Company to create trans-seasonal pieces from Merino wool and highlight the versatility of the natural fibre.

As always, KOCHÉ’s sporty silhouettes made their way into the collection - a tradition that designer and founder Christelle Kocher continues after the success of incorporating Paris Saint-Germain football jerseys into her offering. This time, she included the signature light blue of the Olympique de Marseille team, a homage to the city in which she unveiled her Cruise collection.

“This collection is very important for me as it is my first real Cruise collection,” said Kocher. “To celebrate and mark this special occasion, we chose to hold the show on a real cruise boat in Marseille and thanks to The Woolmark Company I have been able to use Merino wool in this collection.”

The latest collection allows the designer to push the boundaries with wool, presenting a seasonless collection which plays to the fibre’s perennial benefits. The collection includes hand-knitted and patchwork sweaters, a Swarovski Crystal-embroidered piqué suit and KOCHÉ’s signature kimono-style wool coat.

“I deliberately dyed the Merino wool with vivid colours to make it fresh for summer and also digitally printed onto complete looks to give the pieces a stronger graphic aspect.”
