PORTS and Woolmark unite to create the
Wanderer Wool Wardrobe, a collection of traceable Merino wool
garments showcasing the wool fibre’s luxury heritage and
natural excellence.
Tracing the collection’s origins from farm to finish, the Wanderer Wool Wardrobe taps contemporary aesthetics and the legacy of wool-growing. Crafted Superfine 16.5 micron Australian Merino wool, the collection features coats, suits, wool denim and versatile pieces. Treated with the Basolan® process, the collection’s fabric retains and enhances the wool fibre’s natural thermoregulation, breathability, wrinkle resistance and durability, ideal for wayfarers of the world.
Drawing on the timeless elegance and spirit of the Wanderer that defines PORTS, the traceable wool collection is Woolmark certified across the supply chain to reassure wool fibre quality, technical excellence and full traceability. Scanning the QR code on each garment reveals a virtual journey with with Friend of PORTS, Hai Qing, who shares the transformation of wool from farm to sartorial excellence.
Sourced from: The Springs, Yass NSW
With Australian Merino wool sourced from The Springs wool-growing property in Yass, New South Wales, the collection is proudly tied to an ongoing legacy. Woolgrowers Peter and Morna of The Springs, have tended to their flock of nearly 3,000 Merino sheep across 1,600 sprawling acres for more than 35 years. Their vision to produce fine wool for beautiful clothing is matched by a commitment to leave a lasting tradition of care, improving the land for future generations.
Through regenerative farming practices such as planting shade trees and establishing nature corridors, Peter and Morna embody custodianship of land and mastery in wool-growing, a stewardship that finds natural expression in the Wanderer Wool Wardrobe, where provenance meets excellence.
“For us, wool-growing means creating a beautiful fibre while caring for our sheep and the land through regenerative practices. We're proud of our story of care, respect and connection, from our farm to their hands. It feels very special to know this collection carries that story forward”
- Peter and Morna, woolgrowers of The Springs.
