Wool Appreciation Courses
The Woolmark Company’s Wool Appreciation Course is a free workshop offering insight into the production pipeline of Merino wool apparel – from fibre to garment – and details the unique benefits, performance and fabric attributes of wool and wool products. It answers the question "what is wool?", outlines the benefits and properties of wool and details the uses of wool.
Wool4School is an annual student design competition encouraging budding fashion designers to show the nation what they’re made of. Open to all Australian, British and Hong Kong school students from years 7 to 12, the Wool4School competition invites students to design an outfit using a minimum 80% Australian Merino wool. By putting wool into the minds of Australia’s future fashion designers, Wool4School encourages students' innovative thinking and creative design, in keeping with The Woolmark Company’s tradition of fostering the education of the future.
Part of The Woolmark Company’s ongoing commitment to nurturing emerging talent includes hosting student seminars to educate the next generation about entering the fashion, textile and design industry, while inspiring them to think about using Merino wool as they embark on their career path. Our Naturally Inspiring seminars bring together industry leaders and experts to discuss and demonstrate the versatile quality of Merino wool and its many applications.
