Despite last week’s encouraging price rises on all microns, wool markets across Australia this week struggled to maintain the gains. In general the finer types held up well, with 19.0 micron and finer, par to 5 cents cheaper by the close. Types coarser than 19.5 micron showed a retreat in levels of up to 20 cents, losing half of the rises of the previous week.
