Italy’s tennis team to sport Australian wool at ATP tournament

Leading Italian tennis player Paolo Lorenzi returns as the face for tennis brand Australian’s latest campaign, in partnership with The Woolmark Company.

The two leading brands have developed a wool blend T-shirt, made from innovative new Wool Tek fabric which delivers maximum performance and freedom of movement.

The Wool Tek fabric, used for Paolo Lorenzi’s T-shirt, highlights the performance benefits of Merino wool. A naturally technical fibre, wool’s inherent benefits allow the T-shirt to be elastic to move with the body, lightweight, resistant to both odour and UV rays, and wick away moisture, allowing the wearer to remain cool and dry even during intense exercise.

Lorenzi, a member of Italy’s ATP team, will unveil the Wool Tek Australian T-shirt on the court at the Internazionali BNL d’Italia 2017, held from May 10 to 21 in Rome.

In collaboration with the global players of textile industry – Suedwolle Group Safil, Tessuti Marzotto Fabrics and Zegna Baruffa Lane Borgosesia – Australian developed a wool blend collection comprising a polo shirt, jacket and a sweater that will be worn by line umpires, ball boys, tournament directors, cameramen and Australian’s ATP team during the Internazionali BNL d’Italia.

The wool blend performance collection will be available to buy at the boutiques of the Internationali BNL d’Italia and online.
