It represents a long-term commitment to quality spanning 50 years and helping define the history of wool. As one of the world’s most well-known brands the Woolmark logo has been applied to more than 5 billion products since the creation of the original mark in 1964.
The Woolmark logo is a certification trademark and products that carry it must be tested at independent Authorised Laboratories and approved by The Woolmark Company. The brands provide consumers with guaranteed fibre content and an assurance of quality. At retail, products carrying the brands are clearly distinguished through the use of tickets and labels available to our Woolmark licensees.
Consumers can be assured that the products which carry the mark have been rigorously tested and awarded with a mark of independent quality endorsement. The Woolmark brand is for compliant products containing 100 per cent pure new wool. The Woolmark Blend brand is for compliant products containing 50 per cent to 99.9 per cent new wool. The Wool Blend brand is for compliant products containing 30 per cent to 49.9 per cent new wool. We also have a number of apparel and interiors sub-brands available for products that meet a number of product quality measures.
