Apparel CarePrint

Gone are the days when caring for your Merino woollen garments were a difficult and time-consuming process.

Innovations, simple instructions and a little common sense mean your favourite jacket, sweater or trousers will look as-new for the duration of its life.

Always ensure you read the label for specific care instructions, as they may vary. A few simple measures after each wear will ensure your wool garments remain in great condition and continue to drape beautifully and feel as good as it did at time of purchase.

The Woolmark Apparel Care program helps consumers identify quality laundry products that are approved by The Woolmark Company for use on wool products. Consumers have confidence that Woolmark-approved apparel care products are ideally suited to the job of caring for wool products.

Apparel care product manufacturers that become a Woolmark Apparel Care Licensee are authorised to use the world-famous Woolmark logo on any of their products that meet the appropriate specification.

All products are tested by independent laboratories, authorised to carry out Woolmark testing.

Apparel care products that can be licensed to carry the Woolmark logo are:

  • Washing machines
  • Tumble dryers
  • Irons
  • Detergents
  • Fabric softeners
  • Bleaches

The Woolmark Apparel Care program has an established reputation. The program for washing machines was introduced in 1968 and detergents in 1969. Other products were added to the program over time.

As well as being able to use the Woolmark logo on apparel care products, Woolmark Apparel Care Licensees are able to access the knowledge, supply chain connections and marketing support of The Woolmark Company, from woolgrowers to consumers. There are opportunities for your brand to partner with other Woolmark licensees to provide the very best care to consumers.
