It meets with the strong return of feminine elegance with a more refined and modern touch which inspired by contemporary art and architecture. But colours will not be flat and dual as it is, a series of tones as they change and reflect different textures on fibre, yarn or structure of the fabric. The charming warm tones of Normdecor, as presented in The Wool Lab AW16/17, well-express the mood: pink, carol, rube, rusts, ochre, combined with moonlight blue, violet purple and gold on fine relief, jacquard, embroideries, prints, voile, laser cut - various textures bright you up and flow through the night.
The earth colour tones reflect the other major trends, a slow-down lifestyle which you could take a break and start an adventure to the nature. People pay more attention to the earth we live and focus on eco-friendly products. Chunky hand knit is a fashion must-have, but with the new airy yarn this season to provide not only the look in fashion trends, but also the comfort to our urban daily life.
There is a special trend corner - Spinactive - which is an exploration for active sports in a more comfortable but precious classy style, as well as Metropolitan Chalet from The Wool Lab. It gives a good answer to the needs of the youth for high performance and also leisure spare time. Here, technical combines very well with performance, boded, coating, UV protection, and special technical treatments and finishing. Black and white, crystal grey, different shades of blues from sky blue to royal blue or even to the electrical blue, with a touch of yellow and orange, vibrant and pulse.
Apart from colours and fashion trends, the exhibition also introduced cutting-edge spinning techniques and creative dyeing methods which contribute to show the expressive colours and textures in high quality. You could find an innovated technical treatment on pure wool yarn from an Italian spinner. This new treatment makes wool yarn uncrushable with dry handle as well as breathable and elastic, which is suitable for situations where high performance is indispensable and also ideal for normal daily dressing.
